Small Decal Installation Instructions

Clean and dry the surface where sticker will be applied. Smooth sticker out with your hand to make sure the transfer tape fully sticks to the sticker. Peel away wax paper backing from the sticker. Then place the sticker into position on the surface and squeegee out any air bubbles with your hand, credit card, or any other hard smooth object. Wait a few minutes and then gently peel away the transfer tape from the sticker.

Large Car Graphics Installation Instructions:

1. Clean vehicle thoroughly. Be sure to clean the doorjambs, wheel wells, windows, and anything else the decal may overlap. Rubbing alcohol and Windex is recommended to remove any wax.

2. Lay the graphics out on a clean flat surface such as a table or the floor. Smooth over the entire decal with your hands and the hard edge of a credit card or a driver's license to make sure the application tape fully adheres to the decal.

3. Measure the graphics and then measure where you are going to put the graphics on the vehicle to make sure it will fit in that location. Remember that most graphics will have to be angled to get the desired size and look.

4. Position the decal on the surface of the vehicle to get an idea of where you will want it.

5. Spray the surface of the vehicle generously with decal solution (A spray bottle filled with water and 2 drops of liquid dish soap). Small graphics under 2 feet long can be applied without using the decal solution.

6. Have a friend help you remove the paper backing from the decal. Check the decal to make sure that none of the paper backing was left behind. If there is, then peel it up and remove it using your finger or a razor blade.

7. Spray the sticky side of the decal lightly with the decal solution. Then with your friend on one end and you on the other apply the decal to the surface. Take advantage of the wet surface and slide it into position. Usually you will be able to slide it around for a few minutes before it starts to dry.

8. Squeegee out the water and air bubbles using a squeegee, the edge of a credit card, driver's license, or any other hard smooth object. (If you would rather use a plastic squeegee for the installation process, they can be purchased from the wallpaper section of any hardware store for about 75 cents.)

9. Cut off any excess portion of the decal that might be hanging in the wheel wells, leaving about an inch or so to work with later.

10. Spray the top surface of the application tape on the decal lightly with the decal solution again and let sit for at least two hours to dry. If you used too much of the solution or if you put too much soap in the solution, the drying time may take several more hours.

11. Slowly peel away the application tape off the decal and vehicle at a SHARP 180 degree angle. If the tape doesn't separate from the decal easily then reapply the tape, squeegee the decal again and wait a few minutes before trying again. Sometimes graphics will have more than one layer or one piece of application tape on them. If this is the case, then remove one piece at a time, starting with the top piece first. A soft cloth and rubbing alcohol will remove any adhesive left behind from the applicator tape.

12. Use a razor blade or an xacto knife to slit or trim the decal in any doorjambs, window cracks, wheel wells or door edges. Then wrap excess decal where it has been cut into the edges/doorjambs.

13. Squeegee out entire decal surface again to remove the rest of the air bubbles and to flatten out any spots that aren't laying flat. If some air bubbles are still present you can try popping them with a pin, but don't worry as most tiny air bubbles will disappear after a few days in the sun.

14. Allow at least 48 hours of dry time before taking it to the car-wash or through bad weather. *Racing stripes and large vehicle graphics should not be applied to freshly painted vehicles. Wait at least 3 weeks after painting to install. To remove stripes/decals from a vehicle, lift up one edge with a razor blade and then gently pull the decal away from the surface. This will decrease the possibility of any damage to the vehicle's paint. Rubbing alcohol can also be used to help remove the decals and to get rid of any sticky adhesive left behind.
Note: Application tape may bubble or wrinkle during the shipping process. This is completely normal for it to do so and it won't affect the decal. Just unroll the sticker onto a long hard surface, such as a table, or the floor. Then smooth out the decal from the middle out using the edge of a credit card or drivers license. Most of the bubbles and wrinkles will smooth out, and those that don't, will not appear on your decal once you apply it. We reccomend that if you do not want to install the graphics yourself, that you take them to a professional. Most auto body shops will install vinyl graphics for a charge. There will be no refunds or exchanges. Once the decal has been used or applied there is no warranty. Daydreamer Decals will not be held accountable for any damages caused by the decals or the installation process. If you would like any additional decals or graphics, please visit our website www.daydreamerdecals.com.

RACING STRIPES Installation Instructions:

1. Clean vehicle thoroughly. Be sure to clean the doorjambs, wheel wells, windows, and anything else the decal may overlap. Rubbing alcohol and Windex is recommended to remove any wax.(If you would prefer to use a plastic squeegee for the installation process, they can be purchased from the wallpaper section of any hardware store for about 75 cents.)

2. Measure the car where the stripes will be applied and then trim down the stripes as required. Meaure the larger sections of car first. Make sure to leave at least 6" more than is needed, because once the stripes are placed on the car, they will still need to be trimmed down to an exact fit with a xacto blade.

3. Spray the surface of the vehicle generously with decal solution (A spray bottle filled with water and 2 or 3 drops of liquid dish soap).

4. Have a friend help you remove the paper backing from the stripe. Check the stripe to make sure that none of the paper backing was left behind. If there is, then peel it up and remove it using your finger or a razor blade.

5. Spray the sticky side of the stripe lightly with the decal solution. Then with your friend on one end and you on the other apply the stripe to the surface. Take advantage of the wet surface and slide it into position. Usually you will be able to slide it around for a few minutes before it starts to dry.

6. Squeegee out the water and air bubbles using a squeegee, the edge of a credit card, driver's license, or any other hard smooth object with a soft cloth over it to avoid scratches.

7. Next trim away any excess material with a xacto or razor blade to get an exact fit. The stripes can be lined up or overlaid on top of each other, if necessary for extremely long spaces.

8. Let the stripes dry for an hour or two and then re-squeegee out any leftover air bubbles. If more tiny air bubbles are still present, try popping the bubbles with the xacto or razor blade. But, most tiny air bubbles will disappear after a couple days in the sun.

9. Allow at least 48 hours of dry time before taking it to the car-wash or through bad weather.
